I talked to Ed Cagle, the VP of TN Bank and Trust and present at our board meeting, and he transfered me to a mortgage specialist working the FHA issue and conventional loans for our complex. Currently, they still have no secondary market financing (FHA and conventional), but he said they are continually working on getting those approved but in the meantime, they are exploring portfolio mortgages where TN Bank and Trust would be the direct lender and they cannot resell the note. As such, interest rates may not be as attractive.

Wow...my bill only avergaes $50 - $60 a month. I've had it go over $100 in the dead of winter when NES was jacking the rates, but it's been very reasonable now.

Yes, it's hard to make those mortgage payments when the rents aren't coming in. I had NO problem with Equity until last November when Stewart took the accounting duties away from MeRita. I, too, have not seen July or August rents, security deposits or the $1,000 supposed reserve in our account. A little over $8500 in all. I've contacted TBI to find out what our avenues are...I'll keep you posted!

Funny...yesterday, all I had to do was Google "Stewart Heath" and I'd get all of the news stories, this site, all sorts of fun stuff. Today I Google "Stewart Heath" and got "Your search returned no results." Wonder who fixed that for him? Nothing seems to stick to this guy!

Yup, same for me. But I called Chase, and they allowed me to repay my negative escrow balance in 36 months instead of the normal 12 months. So my payment went up $60 instead of $110. I had to fax them the request in writing.

Good point Ryan... with a call box we would save tons on remotes. They have to have a way to get in, but the remotes are also an unsafe method. If the remotes really do get lost, who knows who will find them... or stole them.

Aren't those gate remotes like $40 each? Didn't we all fight with him to get more than 1 for each unit? He sure throws those around pretty easily, didn't we give a ton of them to UPS and FEDEX a few months back? Wonder who is paying for all this....wasn't a keypad on the gate like $150? Unless those remotes weren't in fact costing $40 and a profit was being made on them...
